Carrizo Oil and Gas (CRZO) has 58,000 net acres that is prospective for the Niobrara Shale, and plans to continue adding to its position in Colorado. The company’s acreage is currently centered in Weld County.
Carrizo Oil and Gas plans to drill 4 horizontal wells in 2010 targeting the Niobrara Shale, with three slated for October 2010. Carrizo Oil and Gas is assuming an estimate ultimate recovery (EUR) of 250,000 barrels of oil equivalent per well.
The company has allocated $25 million in capital to add leasehold and drill in the Niobrara Shale in 2010.
